Addison County Solid Waste Management District (ACSWMD) is hosting a free backyard composting workshop on Thursday, July 12th from 7pm-8pm at the Platt Memorial Library in Shoreham. Learn how to turn household food waste into compost for your garden!

The workshop will cover the benefits of composting, why food scraps should be diverted from the landfill, how to set up and manage a pile, uses for compost, and troubleshooting tips. We'll share resources and have compost bins and kitchen collectors for sale.
