Got Mosquitoes? LFCID Open House

Past event
Jul 21, 2018, 11:30 AM to 3 PM

What do a bucket, a clogged gutter, and a flower pot saucer have in common? You're right...if you said mosquitoes. Anything around your yard and property that creates a puddle can be a breeding ground for these pests. The Lemon Fair Insect Control District invites you to attend an Open House at their Lab/Office space at 2790 Weybridge Rd. right behind the Weybridge Congregational Church. Learn about what you can do to reduce mosquitoes from breeding and resting on your property. We'll have microscopes set up and activities. This year we're having a POSTER CONTEST; the theme as always: "FIGHT THE BITE!" Here, at the Lab, create a drawing, write a poem...on how you protect yourself from mosquitoes. Door prizes, refreshments and handouts will be available. Also, a translucent TICK ID card will be handed out to every person who attends. Questions? Call: 802-545-2847. Also: www.lficd.org
