The Craftsbury Chamber Players will give the first concert of their 2018 Season at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the Elley-Long Music Center, St. Michael's College (Fort Ethan Allen Campus). The concert moves through 60 years of music created in America and includes a piece by John Phillip Sousa for violin and piano, 3 African American spirituals for baritone and piano arranged by H.T. Burleigh, the "American" quartet by Antonin Dvorak for 2 violins, viola and piano, 3 Songs by George Gershwin for baritone and piano, and Bela Bartok's Contrasts for clarinet, violin and piano.Tickets are $25, $10 for students and free for children under12. There is a free afternoon mini-concert for children at 4:00 p.m. All public libraries in Chittenden County have been given free tickets that you can check out for each concert.
