Past event
Jul 10, 2018, 10 to 11 AM

Dr. Robert Merrill will talk about the geology around Greensboro as a part of the summer reading program "Libraries Rock", celebrating both geology and music. He will be focusing his presentation on the geology around Greensboro that the kids can see. The discussion will include information about rocks and glaciers. Children are welcome to bring rocks to identify, as well as any other questions regarding geology, such as what they see on the news, earthquakes and volcanoes. Dr. Merrill is an accomplished geologist who has spent many years in and around Greensboro and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with children and their families. This presentation is geared for youth ages 6+. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
