Join Kizuna Dance for a cross-cultural production that blends Japanese culture, streetdance, and contemporary dance; featuring works that span the company’s history, including a brand-new work that pushes the boundaries of contemporary floorwork. Follow three businessmen as they struggle to balance an insatiable drive to succeed with a desperate desire to rediscover intimacy in “Koibito”; discover the three sins in Buddhism through comedic tidbits of pop culture in “Three Poisons,” and explore Manabu Ikeda’s complex visual artwork through flowing, hyper-physical movement in “Foretoken.”
We’re also hosting a Saturday show at 7:30 PM on August 18, and a workshop at 10:00 AM on August 18.
