Some of the supporters of the Upright Steeple Society who used to attend church services at the former First Congregational Church of Lyndon, now the York Street Meeting House, have asked if we could have a worship service there now that the place is so nicely fixed up.
So the First Congregational Church of Lyndonville, the "daughter" church of our old church, is moving its July 8 service to the Meeting House, starting at 10 a.m. (It is actually a joint service with the East Burke Congregational Church.) The Rev. Bruce Comiskey, the newly engaged pastor of the Lyndonville and East Burke churches, will be the minister. All are invited to attend, not just members of the Lyndonville and East Burke churches.
We have a handicapped entrance at the rear of the building.
We hope you can come and help us celebrate the continuity between what we used to be, what we are, and what we are becoming!
