Want a great way to kick off summer and the 4th of July? Brownsville is going all-in for an Independence Day celebration! Tuesday, July 3rd Ascutney Winds, Albert Bridge School, School and Community in Partnership (SCIP) invite you to Bring on the Brass! The New England Brass Band ("NEBB") is the region's premier brass band. Based in Boston, the band draws auditioned volunteer players from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine. For the July 3rd concert, 16 brass and two percussionists will bring two curated sets of "Americana" music to the field behind Albert Bridge School in Brownsville, under a special sound-focused stage and bandshell. Entry is free to the public; donations gratefully accepted. Follow it up with fireworks and other festivities on the slopes of Mt. Ascutney— just follow the posted markers along the footpath and road.
