Artistree 3 Day Workshop: Capturing Water in Watercolor

Past event
Aug 14, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Aug 16, 2018

Explore techniques for representing water surfaces in this lively workshop.
Water in Vermont takes on many forms: lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, and waterfalls. The ever-changing surface of water presents us with ripples, reflections, movement, and mystery. This workshop will look at how natural light and the surrounding landscape play a role in the appearance of water. What is below the surface? How does one capture sparkle and movement? Colors used to capture this subject are wide-ranging. Water is inherently transparent and thus lends itself so well to the medium of watercolor. Lively demos will cover a variety of painting techniques. Jump in and get wet!
