Combine color and texture to create an unusual and beautiful bouquet and centerpiece. Based on the instructor’s book Bouquets with Personality, this workshop will help you discover how to create natural and expressive designs. Some flowers are team players, content to let their gentle and expressive hues and textures take a supporting role in an arrangement or bouquet. Others have a brash, domineering, type-A nature and always insist on being the center of attention. Recognizing flowers’ differing personalities and blending the meek and the bold together in harmonious and romantic ways is at the heart of Lucinda’s teaching philosophy. Learn to relax and enjoy the creative process of working with flowers. You will also learn Lucinda’s techniques for preparing and caring for your flowers and arrangements. The last hour of the class is dedicated to one-on-one instruction and help. All flowers are locally sourced and foraged. Handouts will be provided at the time of the class.
