THIS Wednesday, June 27th upstairs at the Joslin Memorial Library in Waitsfield, 4-H will be holding a kick-off/informational meeting. Join other families and potential volunteers in the area that are interested in learning more about being involved in a horse-focused 4-H club. There will be a fun activity or two then a Q&A session to learn more about the program. What is 4-H? 4-H is a youth directed program and allows youth to explore different project areas alongside volunteers in a club setting as they develop leadership, citizenship, and life skills. Through project based learning, 4-H also gives youth a sense of mastery, generosity, independence, and belonging. All 4-H clubs are open to youth ages 8-18. Youth ages 5-7 may join as Cloverbuds which offers a non-competitive learning experience where members can sample a variety of 4-H projects. For more information contact: Allison Smith, 4-H Educator at 802-476-2003 or Allison.smith.2@UVM.edu.
