The City Council will be meeting Monday, June 25, 2018, at 6:15 p.m. in Contois Auditorium. We have a very packed agenda with a number of items to consider. The agenda includes a special work session on contract negotiations (expected executive session); a special work session on sale of Burlington Electric Department share of the Highgate converter; a presentation on wastewater and stormwater management by Chapin Spencer and Megan Moir, Department of Public Works; consideration of a resolution appointment commissioners to the Chittenden Solid Waste District, Church Street Marketplace Commission. Housing Board of Review and the Winooski Valley Park District; a resolution to proceed with the planning, design, engineering and project administration for the reconstruction of City Hall Park; an ordinance rewriting provisions governing the suspension and revocation of the certificate of compliance with housing ordinances by owners of one or more rental units; an ordinance increasing the fee schedule for certain Fire Department protection and prevention fees (alarm connection, alarm re-programming, alarm technical work, annual alarm monitoring, standpipe system plans review and re-inspection); a resolution to approve a residential electric vehicle rate proposed by the Board of Electric Commissioners; a resolution to implement a market factor adjustment for the general manager of the Burlington Electric Department.

Following the regular city council meeting, we will convene a meeting of the City Council with Mayor Presiding to consider a series of appointments to the following boards and commissions: Airport. Assessors, Cemetery, Conservation, Design Advisory, Development Review, Electric Light, Fire, Health, Library, Parks, & Recreation, Planning, Police, Public, Retirement, Tax Appeals and Vehicle for Hire
