Please join us for a celebration of Independence Day with a concert of contemporary music, light classics, theater and film favorites, and patriotic songs performed by the Vermont Philharmonic. This year Broadway singer and actor Marc Dalio will join POPS music director Lou Kosma. Marc's award-winning stage credits include Gaston and Beast, the Broadway National Tour and German Premiere of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Broadway National Tour of Les Miserables, and the International Company of Miss Saigon.
And don't miss the raffle for a chance to win one of six picnic baskets hand-painted by local artists Warren Kimble, Ashley Wolff, Robin Kent, Danielle Rougeau, and Kathy Mitchell. The baskets will be filled with food and gifts including a certificate for one of Chef Robert's celebrated cooking classes in Brandon. The drawings will be at the concert, and raffle ticket holders do not need to be present to win. The event will take place on the spacious grounds of the Middlebury College athletic fields set between views of the Adirondack and Green Mountains (Rain site: Kenyon Arena). Bring a picnic or purchase something from the food tent and enjoy an evening of music, vintage cars, the anticipation of a picnic basket raffle, and FIREWORKS! The grounds open at 5:30 pm and the concert begins at 7:30 pm, don't forget chairs, blankets, and flashlights.
