Come Parade With Us!!!

Celebrate America's Birthday with the League of Women Voters and walk with us in the 2018 July 3rd Parade in Montpelier.

We'll have a bright red truck with a giant ballot box aboard to remind people of the long fight for women to get the vote and how important it is to make your voice heard.

Dress in your suffragist best - in a white shirt (with sleeves) and long white or black skirt. Men will wear white shirts, black pants, bow-tie, and straw boater hats. We have 17 neutral colored broad-brimmed hats for women (or you can make your own) and "Vote" sashes for everyone. We'll have signs and banners to carry.

If costumes are not your thing, just wear all white and march with us to promote a fair and healthy democracy!

Parade starts about 6:00 p.m. following the Montpelier Mile race. We will meet at the lineup which starts around 5:00 on Elm Street. We'll have more information and exact location shortly.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Show your support for the League of Women Voters and join us!
