Past event
Jun 29, 2018, 6 to 7 PM

Neanderthal fossils have been known since the 1850's, yet Neanderthals remain one of the most enigmatic and controversial fossil humans. Popular culture sees them as prototypes of stupidity and violence. This talk describes the origin of this stereotype, and summarizes important new discoveries that shed light on Neanderthal technology, economy, family and social structure and ritual life. Join Michael Bisson at the North Hero Public Library as he sheds light on this fascinating topic. All are welcome to this free event.
