Homesteading for Clean Water:
A Farm Table Conservation Series
Are you a backyard gardener or homesteader? We believe that even a small farm can make a BIG impact on the health of Lake Champlain.
Join Friends of Northern Lake Champlain and area partners to learn how water-friendly farming and homesteading practices can reduce your footprint on Lake Champlain and its tributaries. Learn from experts on how to keep vital nutrients on your land and prevent runoff that harms Vermont's rivers and lakes.
Tuesday, June 19th
6:30-8:00 PM
Bent Northrop Memorial Library 164 Park Street, Fairfield VT
Experts from University of Vermont Extension and Vermont Agency of Agriculture will join us to share knowledge about watershed science, soil health and simple water-friendly conservation practices.
We will also learn about Vermont's water quality legislation, Act 64, and how the laws affect you and your homestead.
