The Isle of Patmos Masonic Lodge is hosting a chili cookoff between the Champlain Island Fire Departments on June 30th at 5 p.m. SHVFD plans to submit 4 different chilis (prepared by our members) into the competition. A panel of judges will rate all of the entries in a blind taste test. The winner gets to hold on to an engraved trophy until next year's competition. The public is welcome to come and taste the chili for themselves. Adult admission is $10, kids 12 and under are $5, kids under 2 are free. The Isle of Patmos Masonic Lodge will also be contributing their own chili and side dishes to the event to make sure no one goes home hungry. All proceeds will be donated back to the participating fire departments.
