The Children's Literacy Foundation has granted the Lanpher Memorial Library a Summer Readers Author Visit and Book Giveaway.
On June 27th at 1:00 at the Lanpher Memorial Library, Rick Agren, author of "Pumpkin Shivaree" will be at the Library to get children excited about summer reading.
EVERY CHILD WHO ATTENDS WILL GET TO CHOOSE 2 FREE, BRAND NEW BOOKS TO KEEP!

The Summer Reading Program: LIBRARIES ROCK! Has officially begun. Children can set summer reading goals now until July 9th. When they reach their goal they'll earn a prize.
We also have our 4th Annual Family Reads Bingo Challenge. Stop by to pick up a special Libraries Rock Bingo sheet. Each square has a different literacy activity designed for families to do together. For each traditional Bingo (across/down/diagonal) you can enter your family in a drawing to win some great prizes! The drawing will take place on August 8th.
This year we have a special Elementary Student Age Checklist Challenge. There are 15 challenges in 3 categories. Students can win prizes by completing a challenge in each category. Each time they do, they can win a little prize.
