The Charlotte Senior Center Monday Munch on June 18th features: Empanadas, green salad, beverages, bread, and Gifford's ice cream with applesauce made from apples we received from Salvation Farms. These empanadas will feature a Bolivian touch. You'll have to come dine with us to find out what that is.

As always on Mondays, Lunch is followed by active bridge. Lunch begins at 11:30 and requires no reservation. Suggested donation: $5. Visitors from surrounding communities are cordially invited.

Encourage a child you know to sign up for Bake for Good, which will be on July 19. Adults are welcome too, but I'm making a pitch for kids to come learn how to make yeast rolls.You can get more info at the Charlotte Library and the Senior Center.

Also be aware that the Library is teaming up with the Congregational Church and Spear's Store to expand the library's summer lunch bag program. This year the bags include a coupon good for a book of the child's choice. Food for the mind and the body.
