Summer Solstice Celebration!

Past event
Jun 17, 2018, 1 to 4 PM

Join us in celebrating the warmth and light of Summer Solstice! For the longest day of the year we gather to honor the beauty and bounty of the earth, and the potential for healing offered by the bright light of the sun. It is a lovely opportunity to celebrate the season with song, stories, community, and a ritual blessing on the waters of the world. We will be meeting at my house on Winooski St. in Waterbury, Vermont from 1-4 pm on Sunday, June 17. From there we will walk down to the water together to join in song and a ritual blessing on the water.

This event is free, family friendly, and gender-inclusive. The walk down to the water takes about 10 minutes and involves walking through a grassy meadow; if this poses any obstacles for you, please feel free to be in touch with me and we can navigate that together. Please bring a small, biodegradable, offering for the flotilla (flowers are perfect, but other small natural objects also work) as well as something small for a snack-y potluck following the celebration.

please message me with any questions and please RSVP if you plan on attending, so that we know to wait for you before heading down to the water.
