Spring Storytime in Barre Town Forest

Past event
Jun 16, 2018, 1 to 2:30 PM

Do fairies live in the Barre Town Forest? Can we entice them with some little houses built of natural materials found in the forest? Preschoolers, younger children, and their parents/caregivers are invited to a free Spring Forest Storytime on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 1:00 pm.

Aldrich Public Library's Children's Librarian Ian Gauthier will read several forest-related stories and fairy tales, followed by a fairy house building session in the forest. Last spring's participants spotted some houses from the previous spring. "We could end up with a whole neighborhood!" said Gauthier. He added that there is no need to bring anything, but please dress for weather conditions.

Meet at the Barre Town Forest parking lot kiosk, 44 Brook St., Websterville, VT 05678, for a brief walk into the forest. Afterwards, feel free to explore the trails on your own. If it rains, the event will unfortunately be cancelled. Hoping for sunny skies! For more information, call the library at 476-7550.
