Children's book writers with a ready-to-publish manuscript: Register now for "WRITERS MEET AGENTS," the famous biennial event hosted by the League of Vermont Writers!
Among the seven agents from well-known literary agencies who will join us at WMA are also some who are looking for picture books, middle-grade novels, and young adult fiction. Pitch sessions still available (limit of two per person!), but they're going fast, so don't wait!
ROB GRODER is a publisher and owner of Ripple Grove Press, an independent, family-owned children's picture book publisher. Their mission is to bring together great writers and talented illustrators to make wonderful books. He's looking for stories that capture a moment so our readers can create their own.
EMILY S. KEYES of Fuse Literary loves reading books that make her feel like she is entering someone else's brain. Voice and emotion are very important to hook her on a project. She loves all types of young adult and middle grade books. Her #MSWL right now includes a diverse YA fantasy in a non-western setting, particularly those based on real historical periods, middle grade stories that kids will WANT to read.
DANIELLE BURBY of Nelson Literary Agency represents all genres of YA and MG along with select passion projects in women's fiction. She particularly enjoys complex female characters, quirky adventures, narratives that ask readers to think deeply, girls with swords, and seaside novels. Danielle also looks for a strong narrative voice and characters she wants to spend time with.
Even if you have no book to pitch, join us to mingle with other writers and to meet the agents and speakers at this always sold-out event.
