Medieval Armored and Fencing Practices

Past event
Jun 12, 2018, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Tuesday evening and happening weekly each Tuesday, there will be a Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) medieval heavy list (armored) and fencing practices in Lyndonville. Practice can also include combat archery.

Everyone is welcome to attend - come to watch and/or try. SCA practices do not require people to wear medieval garb. If you don't have equipment, please reply and we can see about borrowing equipment so you can try. All levels of experience is welcome, including beginners. The practices will go from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at the Sanborn Hall gym at Lyndon Institute at the intersection of College Rd and Center St in Lyndon Center.

The SCA is a medieval recreation, non-profit group that is dedicated to the preservation, research, and recreation of the crafts, arts, and experiences of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. At a SCA event, unlike a Renaissance Faire, the SCA is participatory - no-one is simply a spectator. But, at practices, like the one in Lyndonville, spectators and participants are all welcome!
