Hardwick's MAC NURSE : Perry Heller will be holding its second MAC CURIOUS : MAC BASICS and BEYOND educational workshop at The Open Space in Hardwick, VT. The Open Space is on the 2nd Floor of the Hardwick Inn (AKA The Centennial Building) just above the Hardwick Clothing Company and Connie's Kitchen. For those of you who missed the first workshop, here's your chance to get in on the learning!

Interested in learning how to get the most from your Apple computer? Maybe your computer is running slowly and you don't know why. We'll be going over Mac basics such as: 

*What is the "Finder" and what is a Finder Window?
*What is the Dock and how can I customize it?
*My desktop is so cluttered with files? What are the best ways to organize and manage these files?
*How do I make my Mac automatically log me in whenever it wakes up or is powered on?
*What is an "App" or Application?
*What is the difference between a website and an Internet Browser? How do I go to a website more easily?
*What's the difference between MEMORY and STORAGE capacity?
*What is RAM, what does it do, and why do I need more of it?
*What is an Operating System (OS) and what's the difference between them all? Is one OS better than another?

*What's the difference between an HDD and an SSD Hard Drive?
*Should I put my computer to sleep all the time or should I shut it down?
*What's the difference between MB (Megabytes) and GB (Gigabytes)?

This MAC CURIOUS workshop is limited to a maximum of 15 people.

If you would like to, feel free to bring your computer with you. We'll have plenty of room for your MacBooks, iMacs, MacMinis, etc… Outlets and power strips will be made available for everyone's computer. There will also be 3 or 4 MAC NURSE Loaner Macbooks available if people would like to borrow one for this workshop.
