Come Birdwatching with C.I.D.E.R.

If you are an Islands' senior and would like to do a little easy birdwatching, C.I.D.E.R. has just the opportunity for you! We will be meeting up with local birdwatching expert Charles Hulse at the Tracy Road parking lot (1/4 mile from Rt 2 in South Hero) and taking an easy walk a little ways down the Rail Trail Recreation Path to a spot where we may see some osprey among others. We plan to meet at 1:30pm on Monday, June 18th and will be bird watching for an hour or so. The path is accessible for someone using a wheelchair or other mobility device such as a walker, and we will have chairs, water, snacks, and some extra binoculars for those who don't bring their own. C.I.D.E.R. staff and volunteers will be available to assist anyone if needed. There is no cost for participating in this outing and transportation is available upon request.

To learn more or RSVP for this outing please call the C.I.D.E.R. office at 372-6425 no later than noon on June 14th. Our rain date is Tuesday, June 19th and we hope to schedule additional outings at other easily accessed locations throughout Grand Isle County later this summer and fall.
