Hello friends, family, and other humans: Summit School is presenting a fantastic concert series followed by a rocking good square dance topped off by a mo' bettah Cajun dance this Saturday, June 9th at the Unitarian Church on Main Street in Montpelier. Summit will provide desserts and beverages for one and all!!
Three outstanding local musicians – Sarah Blair [Irish Fiddle], Colin McCaffrey [Singer/Songwriter], and Tom Mackenzie [Singer/Banjoist] – will be giving concerts, starting at 4:00 p.m. Sarah plays from 4 to 4:40; Colin from 4:55 to 5:35; and Tom from 5:50 to 6:30—don't be late!
At 6:45 p.m., following the concerts, we'll have a square dance with local dynamos Kick 'Em Jenny [that's me, Alec Ellsworth, Kathleen Moore, and Chris Hollis]. Then we'll finish up with a Cajun dance at 8:10 featuring the spicy sounds of Chaque Fois [Katie Trautz, Alec Ellsworth, Chris Hollis].
The outstanding local musicians performing at this event are donating their time and talents to support Summit. This is a great opportunity to see them perform in an intimate setting and to show your support for Summit School—its classes, concerts, workshops, fiddlers gathering, and 4-day Spice on Snow midwinter festival.
Please support local music and Summit School by coming to this event.
