It's that time of year - the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District (CVSWMD) is hosting its Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Tunbridge Transfer Station this Saturday, June 9, from 9 am - 1 pm. The fee is $20 per carload of material for district residents (see list of member towns below), or $100 per carload for non-district residents. If you only have a couple small things, see if you can combine your load with a neighbor to save on gas, time and fees.
Not sure what to bring? Automotive fluids, pesticides and herbicides, bleach based cleaners and much more are all considered household hazardous waste. Look for the words Caution/Warning/Hazard on the label. If you see those words, it's probably household hazardous waste. For more detailed information about what to bring, go to: http://www.cvswmd.org/what-is-hazardous-waste.html
