Talking About Ticks - Time to Go on the Offensive?

Is it time ,we went on the offensive to limit the tick population?

On Tuesday June 19, there will be an Information and Public Input Forum, on Ticks: Prevention Strategies, Public Input on Tick Borne Diseases and Next Steps.
The event will be hosted by State Representative Mike Mrowicki and held at the Putney Public Library, Main St,Putney,Vt. from 6:30 to 8pm.

Bradley Tompkins of the Vermont Department of Health will present the first part of the Information and Public Input Session on Ticks and Prevention strategies, from a Public Health perspective.

The next part of the program invites the public to come testify to personal experiences with Tick Borne Diseases, leading to a discussion on Next Steps- including ,Is it time to go on the offensive to reduce the Tick population?

The state has undertaken efforts to control mosquitoes, and rabies through treated bait drops around the state.
Should State Government be acting to reduce the tick population, as another factor to reduce risk for Vermonters?
