Relocalizing VT Thurs: Local Energy, Electric Vehicles

Past event
Jun 7, 2018, 9 to 10:30 AM

Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - local energy events Saturday, and why generating renewable energy locally is important.

9:00 - 10:00 am
This Saturday we have an embarrassment of riches in local energy events: Bernie Sanders' office is organizing an energy fair in Randolph with Bernie himself keynoting it, along with the director of Bill McKibben's 350.org, May Boeve. And in South Burlington, many organizations are sponsoring a Sun CARnival around electric transportation: electric vehicles, electric motorcycles, e-bikes. We'll have conversations around both those events.

Plus, John Farrell of the Institute for Local Self Reliance will talk about why it's important that renewable energy also be locally generated energy.
