To highlight the summer theme of Libraries Rock, Henry and members of the Ukulele Gathering from Bennington will be offering their expertise to teach ukulele lessons. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn about the history of the ukulele, the structure and parts of the ukulele, basic strumming techniques, musical timing, understanding chords and more applied to the playing of a variety of songs. The lessons begin Thursday, June 7 at 4:00pm in the library meeting room and continue on June 28, July 5 and 19, August 7 and another date to be announced.
