Past event
Feb 9, 2014, 3 PM

Big Fun for all at the Capital City Grange Hall on Sunday, February 9th, as the Friends of the Capital City Grange Hall hold their second annual Dance/Dinner/Dance fundraiser.

Heat up the dance hall to benefit the Friends of the Capital City Grange Hall as they work to fund fire code improvements. Bring friends and little ones to the family dance from 3:00pm – 4:30pm with music by Mikaela Moore and Dana Hartshorn, and calling by the Mad Robins Callers' Collective. Stay for an amazing Thai dinner from 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Follow it up with a contra dance, 5:30 pm - 8:30pm with music by Maivish (Jaige Trudel and Adam Broome, 2/3 of Crowfoot) and calling by Mary Wesley.

No partner needed, bring clean, soft-soled shoes. Capital City Grange Hall, 6612 VT Route 12, Berlin. Adults: $10 to dance, $10 to eat. Children under 16: $5/$5. A fantastic event for beginner and advanced dancers alike!

What's for dinner? Grange volunteers, working with experienced cooks Alison Forrest and Gail England will make fresh spring rolls with (your choice) peanut or mirin sauce, chicken or tofu (your choice) and tasty, mild curry sauce over rice. Wheat free--even the soy sauce! There will be cake for dessert (made by Alison), and a good chance to socialize with your friends while you eat!

The Capital City Grange is at 6612 Rt. 12, Berlin, VT 05602 (for your GPS)--or just before the I-89 overpass, going up the hill to go into Montpelier, for those of us without. Look for the sign on the right (heading North), and make a sharp right turn to go up the hill to the ample parking lot and the Grange Hall.
