They are writing the GMO labeling bill (H.112) right now.
Up at the State House the Senate Agriculture Committee will be spending the next couple days re-working the GMO labeling bill passed by the House last year. The decisions being made by this Committee could have serious implications for whether Vermont will be the first state to see labels on GMO foods, or if we will be forced to wait and let other states decide if we have a right to know what we are eating.
Your voice is needed now!
Register for the Public Hearing this Thursday from 6:00-8:00 at the State House!
We know that the overwhelming majority of Vermonters support H.112, and Thursday will be your chance to show that to our elected representatives. We expect to see a new draft of this bill in the next two days, and on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 you will have the chance to let our lawmakers know what you think.
