Got a case of cabin fever? What to brush up on your photo skills? This might help: Photos of East Montpelier (POEM) is pleased to announce a series of six sessions sure to please both amateur photographers and armchair travelers.
During the skills section, you’ll learn from a seasoned pro about
• how to put your own spin on frequently photographed attractions;
• ways to make your shots appear more professional;
• how to handle less-than-ideal circumstances and changing sunlight;
• the importance of planning ahead and doing research; and
• the capabilities and limitations of your camera.
Then when the lesson is done, sit back and relax and get spirited away to Hawaii, the Oregon Coast, our National Parks, Eastern Europe, France, and other fascinating places, all as photographed by area residents.
We’ll all leave with an optional photo assignment for the following week that can be shared with the group.
The first session will be held Thursday, February 13 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Four Corners Schoolhouse, and then again on the following five Thursdays. These sessions are free and open to all.
