The Barre Rock City Chorus as in Rock 'n Roll, hits the stage again this Friday, June 1 at the Barre Elk's Club at 7:30 pm. We are 35 enthusiastic singers with a fabulous Rock Band and an incredible director, John Harrison of Montpelier Gospel Choir fame. Not only is the music terrific, but John will make you laugh and you can dance if you wish!
We do 2 concerts per year. Each benefits a non-profit and this concert is for Return House in Barre. This organization helps young men 18 - 22, transition from prison back into the community.
We have a broad and fun selection of music: Beatles (65), The Cranberries (92), The Jackson Five (69), The Main Ingredient (75), Night Ranger (84), Shalimar (80), Steely Dan (73) and more, including more Soul and even some from the 2000's. The Elks Club has a dance floor and a bar, so the evening is more than just listening.
So grab your friends and family and head on down to the Barre Elks Club (behind the Aldrich Public Library ) for this 7:30 concert to enjoy the music and help a wonderful organization. Check us out on Rock City Facebook.
Anyway, it is this Friday, 7:30 in Barre at the Elk's Club, directly behind the Aldrich LIbrary. The venue has room for optional dancing and a bar that will be open.
