Linda Towle's presentation on the history of the Doenges and Towle Store will be at the Historic Town Hall, June 18 at 6:30PM. THIS IS A CHANGE OF DATE AND LOCATION.
We are very happy to be able to get the Town Hall for this event and we are very happy that Kevin Clayton will join Linda and offer his memories of the IGA Store that his father owned for many years.

Do you remember the IGA store that was on the corner of Harbor Rd. and Rt. 7? It was the Doenges & Towle IGA from 1948-1962, and the Shelburne IGA from 1963-1967. Then the store moved to the Shopping Center and became the Shelburne Super Market.
So this spring is the 70th anniversary of the opening of the Doenges & Towle IGA, and Linda Towle will doing a presentation on the store for the Shelburne Historical Society on Monday, June 18. She'll also be talking about growing up in Shelburne in the '50s and '60s, so please come and share your memories.
