The Town of Williston Department of Public Works, with technical assistance from the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission and transportation planning consultant Toole Design Group, invite the community to participate in the project Alternatives Meeting on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at 8:15 PM to review the results of a study conducted to evaluate traffic calming and mobility enhancements for bicyclists and pedestrians along Maple Road in Williston. This meeting will be held as part of the regularly scheduled Williston Selectboard Meeting.
The Alternatives Meeting is the second public meeting in the project, giving the community the opportunity to express comments or concerns related to the project alternatives that Toole Design Group developed for Maple Road. Five conceptual alternatives were developed based on an analysis of existing traffic speed and volume and in consideration of the purpose and needs statement and feedback gathered from the community. Alternatives include: Alternative 1A - Sidewalk (North Side Alignment), Alternative 1B - Sidewalk (South Side Alignment), Alternative 2 - Traffic Calming with Speed Humps, Alternative 3 - Advisory Shoulders, or Alternative 4 - No Build. For more information about these alternatives, please visit our project website: https://www.ccrpcvt.org/our-work/transportation/current-projects/scoping/maple-road-multimod[...]dy/
If you're unable to attend the meeting on June 5 and would like more information about this project, please contact CCRPC Transportation Planner Marshall Distel at 802-861-0122 or mdistel@ccrpcvt.org.
