RESTORE THE BAY 5K is BACK!
St. Albans Area Watershed Association (SAAWAVT.org) invites you to participate their (almost) Annual 5K which is back this year & better than ever! Walk or run the beautiful course by St. Albans Bay from Hathaway Point/Kill Kare back to the St. Albans Bay Town Park and support clean water!
Pre-register online at saawavt.org by June 7th or at the St. Albans Bay Town Park on the day of the event from 8-8:45 am. Racers will be transported by bus to the starting line at Hathaway Point at 8:45 am. Race begins at 9 am.
There will be KIDS ACTIVITIES (bouncy house, hula hoop instructiion, informal relays/fun races from 10-12 am, sponsored by RiseVT. Walk through the TAKE A STAKE IN THE LAKE info fair tables, chat with people from over 15 Vermont water quality and natural resource organizations and learn about lake-friendly living. Co-sponsored by SAAWA, Lake Champlain Sea Grant and UVM Extension
Your $25/entry to the 5K will include:
• a performance tee (first 100 to register -- still time to get your tee!)
• a chance to win door prize drawings
• AND a 2018 SAAWA membership.
PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registered participants will be able to pick up their bib packets at 14th Star Brewing Co. in St. Albans on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4-6 pm.
We will be grilling up some burgers and dogs after the race, thanks to Hannaford Supermarkets and Bayside Pavilion.
Beer from awesome Saint Albans breweries 14th Star Brewing Co. and Mill River Brewing will also be available for purchase.
Come down to St. Albans Bay Town Park for a family-friendly event and support clean water.
