A couple of weeks ago, the first comprehensive maps showing Richmond's remaining prime wildlife habitat were unveiled at a public meeting at the library. The question now is: How can we ensure we don't lose these areas and the long list of benefits they bring to human and wildlife populations alike?
Tomorrow night the Planning Commission takes up that very question. If wildlife, natural resources and Richmond's overall quality of life are important to you, the Commission needs to hear your opinions and ideas.
The discussion starts at 7 p.m. in the Town Center meeting room. Chances are that the local moose, bear, owls, bobcat, deer, otter and other critters won't be able to make it, so it's even more important that you can Please try to come.
