Is it worth doing again? What next? How could it be better. Who wants to make it happen?

It seems to me we have trouble talking about things like what's happening to our democracy and our country and what's happening politically in the world today. You go to a party and not one word is spoken about our problems! Why? It's a downer! It's too upsetting to even think about, let alone talk about. But, if we don't talk about it, aren't we stuck. Will it help if we talk? Will it free things up, and get things moving in a right way. I believe it will. And I think we have to learn how to talk to each other. So what if we disagree? Isn't talking to each other more important than disagreeing. I really think that we have to have the courage to talk to friends and neighbors-and -not-so-friendly-neighbors with respect, and try and figure it out together. It's a funny thing to say; The courage to talk about it. For me that is definitely a challenge, I'm a shy person. but this is a serious situation, and that's why I organized this meeting. Should we be able to talk to each other?  Steve John says "Focusing on what unites us takes priority and must come first before we can respectfully and rationally discuss what divides us." Please.
