If you are a reader and like a good story you should plan to attend! If you are a writer and want to hear how another writer goes about the craft you should plan to attend, too! A great read for all ages.

Dean will read from his book set in 1853, Boston, Massachusetts. The book is filled with adventure and brawling! Kidnapping attempts, a love affair, and historical details! But he will also illustrate why he chose this time and place to write about. The research into this era and setting was vital to the development of both his characters and his plot. Without research, he would not have found Finn. Dean will show period maps, lithographs, and paintings, along with some sobering facts about the Irish Diaspora, which started with the Potato Famine in 1846.
