Vermont Poor People's Campaign

Meet at the Christ Church in Montpelier (64 State Street. Montpelier, VT 05602) to discuss how to approach the day of action next Tuesday! The following 3 weeks are on Mondays, but we want to respect veterans on Memorial Day.

On Monday, I sat in with 14 others at the Vermont State House to call attention to the evils of systemic racism in our government. There was a grandmother who didn't want her 8 grandchildren to grow up thinking white privilege was the norm for everyone. There was a person who has experienced homelessness, food insecurity and lack of health care due to these systems.

If you are able to, I encourage you to take direct action for the coming weeks in your state capitol. At least, I ask you to support: https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/legal-defense-fund/

Please reach out to me to ask any questions about the campaign or actions! If anyone wants to CARPOOL, please call me: 828-989-8141

With love,
Carl
