Sophie Quest and I have been very concerned about pedestrian safety in our neighborhood. We have joined with AARP's Livable Team to conduct a Walk Audit.
We will meet at the Bayberry Commons Community Room at 2 pm on Wednesday May 30th where we will plan the Walk Audit; then walk the 1-mile route taking measurements and making observations; return to the Community Room and discuss our findings.
Our Route starts at Bayberry Commons on Grove Street, walks Grove to Chase to Barrett to Colchester, up to Chase, back to Grove and return to Bayberry Commons. We are concerned about the pedestrian safety at three intersections: Grove/Chase, Barrett/Colchester/Riverside, and Colchester/Chase.
Everyone is welcome to join the Walk Audit.
