American Precision Museum in Windsor, VT will open this Saturday, May 26th at 10AM. The museum features new educational programming for children, and scheduled, supervised activities each month. MAKER MONDAY presented on the 1st Monday of the month will focus on the joy of making with K'nex machines and electronics. TINKER TUESDAY is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and invites young innovators to bring something they would like to take apart. APM has a limited number of objects for these sessions. WONDER WEDNESDAY is held the 3rd Wednesday each month focusing on understanding electronic circuits, magnetism, and some basic computer coding.
Children between 8 and 12 years of age accompanied by parents may complete the JUNIOR APPRENTICE PROGRAM any day. This is a FREE course with the price of admission. Every other Saturday from June 2 through October 20th, APM has a YOUNG APPRENTICE CLUB where kids can complete a project that will be exhibited at the 19th Annual Model Engineering Show and Maker Space, held on Saturday, August 18th this year.
SHAPING AMERICA is our main exhibit that traces manufacturing history from the mid-19th century through the 50's with machines and firearms, and the first Bridgeport machine tool (Serial #1), and a wonderful collection of miniature machines by John Aschauer. Also visitors can watch our interns work on machines in our INNOVATION STATION on selected days.

The museum is open every day from 10AM-5PM including holidays through October 31st.
