On Monday, May 28, we're going to hold an old-fashioned Block Party in Ward 5. We'll block off the portion of Upper Welden Street between Burnell Terrace and Barlow Street and celebrate in the street with games, food and fun.

With the street blocked off, kinds will be able to enjoy biking without worry and games like street hockey. We will be hosting near Barlow Street Community Center and so we can also use the fields, courts and playground. Rise VT is supporting us, encouraging people to "Play Their Part" ... so come out and play with us!

We'll do the grilling, but would love to have anyone who comes bring a snack, dish or dessert to share. Although we're holding this in the heart of Ward 5, everyone is welcome to join us. Feel free to invite your friends and family.
