Hey friends and neighbors,

I wanted to let you know about the KIDS ART OPEN STUDIO EVENT hosted by the Workshop at Local 6. Its a FREE creative event for kids at our new teaching arts space in downtown Montpelier. You get to drop your kids off at our first Kids Art Downtown workshop (!) while you shop the Farmers' Market right across the street. We'll engage them with a fun, make-and-take project (or they can work independently at one of three Art Stations) involving sewing, collage, or modelmaking. While you enjoy the Farmers' Market in relative tranquility.

The Workshop is Montpelier's newest creative resource for offbeat classes and artsy social events. We are an independently-owned business operating within the welcoming walls of Local 64, a co-working and gallery space located in a historic red brick building at 43 State Street. Workshop Director Karen Cornish is a teaching artist and arts administrator, with an extensive background working with kids and adults on school and community arts projects.
