Pumpkin Hill Singers Concerts for Habitat for Humanity

Past event
May 26, 2018, 7 PM

The Pumpkin Hill Singers, along with the Philadelphia-based duo Box and String, will present their spring concerts at the Danville Congregational Church on Friday, May 25, and at the United Community Church in St. Johnsbury on Saturday, May 26.

Aptly named "Home Aid," the concerts will honor the Northeast Kingdom Habitat for Humanity's 10th year of partnering with families to get them into safe and well-maintained homes. Homemade desserts will be served after the concerts.

The Pumpkin Hill Singers, with percussionist Dave Hare, will perform their signature mix of traditional and original songs, including several "home grown" songs by the ensemble's director Susan Terry and tenor Steve Parker. A set of tunes by Box and String, with Bill Quern and Sarah Gowan playing fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, will include traditional instrumental and vocal music as well as contemporary music written in traditional styles.

Admission is by donation to benefit NEK Habitat for Humanity.
