Marsha Cameron has added another Introduction to Tai Chi class on Thursdays from 5-6pm. The classes are held in the Danville Community Center (the Old Bank Building next to the Pope Library on Rte. 2, Danville).
Tai Chi 8 postures: This is a great way to start Tai Chi. Each week Marsha will focus on one of the 8 sequential postures. Each posture is easy to learn and can form the basis for more advanced study. She will also teach the 8 pieces of Brocade, a classic set of qi gong postures. Each class will include stretching and strengthening exercises.
Tai chi helps with balance and coordination and is often considered a moving meditation. It is best if you commit to all 8 sessions but this is not mandatory. Classes are free to the public though a suggested donation of $5.00 per class is welcome.
