South End Plan and Burlington Comprehensive Plan

Past event
May 23, 2018, 6 to 8 PM

Please come and share your input with the Planning Commission at an important upcoming workshop. Join us at the Burton Show Room on 80 Industrial Parkway on Wednesday June 23 at 6:00 pm to discuss the South End Plan and the Burlington Comprehensive Plan.

The Planning Commission is in the process of updating planBTV- the City's comprehensive plan (also referred to as "the Municipal Development Plan"). As part of the update, the latest draft of the planning effort focusing on our south end neighborhood will also be presented and discussed.

The Comprehensive Plan outlines this vision for Burlington's future and provides guidance on how we will achieve it. This plan covers topics like housing, transportation, economic development, community facilities, and energy—issues that are important to think about and plan for city-wide. Per state statute, the Planning Commission is required to update this plan periodically, to update and refresh the policies and actions that will help us meet our goals.

Also at the meeting, a revised draft of planBTV South End, a process started over two years ago, will be presented and discussed. This draft is the latest effort to reflect community values and concerns focused on the Enterprise Zone and adjacent areas. This neighborhood planning effort is part of the comprehensive plan update.

Light refreshments and free parking will be available at the event, look for the yellow "planBTV" signs on Industrial Parkway.
