My name is Brendan McLane. I serve as a Trustee on the Marshfield Village Board. There has been increased curiosity from Marshfield Village residents as to recent developments regarding a potential change of location of the Marshfield Village Clerk Office. On May 1, 2018, the Marshfield Village Board Of Trustees hosted the Marshfield Village Annual Meeting (warned by mail). At that meeting, the Village budget passed. The budget included the agreed upon rental cost for the Marshfield Village Office, presently located in a residential office space. On May 7, 2018, Trustees became aware of the availability of office space for rent at the Marshfield Old Schoolhouse Common building, at a rental cost lower than the presently fixed rate. Hoping to obtain public opinion on a potential change of location of the Marshfield Village Clerk Office, Marshfield Village Board Of Trustees warned a special meeting to discuss the matter (open to the public). This meeting took place on Monday, May 14th. The meeting ended without vote.

The Marshfield Village Board of Trustees will be having their regular monthly meeting at the Marshfield Fire Department at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 23rd. Further discussion and public opinion of this matter at the meeting will help the Board make an informed decision. Please feel free to attend.
