Hello neighbors,
I serve on the Burlington Planning Commission. On May 22, I invite you to a workshop where you can share your input with the Planning Commission as we update planBTV—the city's comprehensive plan.
planBTV outlines our vision for Burlington's future and provides guidance on how we will achieve it—you may have heard it referred to as "the Municipal Development Plan." This plan covers topics like housing, transportation, economic development, community facilities, and energy—issues that are important to think about and plan for city-wide. Per state statute, the Planning Commission is required to update this plan periodically, to update and refresh the policies and actions that will help us meet our goals.
To help us prepare our 2019 update, my fellow Planning Commissioners and I will be hosting workshops throughout the city, where you'll be able to learn more about this plan and share your input on the update. The workshop for the East End/Hill Section neighborhoods will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on May 22 in the Morgan Room in Aiken Hall at Champlain College, 83 Summit Street.
To find the details about other workshops, more information about planBTV, and ways you can participate online, please visit www.burlingtonvt.gov/planbtv.
Feel free to contact me with any questions!
