Please join us and the Islamic Society of Vermont to learn more about the foundations and "Pillars of Islam". Taysir Al-Khatib, the ISVT's president, will be our speaker this Sunday evening. He will lead a call to prayer, teach about Ramadan (May 14-June 14,) why people of the Islam faith are currently fasting, how it works and the benefits to this practice. The word "Islam" is derived from the word meaning "peace" in Arabic. There will be a chance to engage in questions and answer discussion after his teachings. Come join us in learning more about the pillars and peace of Islam.
